Jaymie
B.S., CPDT-KA

Founding Member/ Instructor

Meet Jaymie, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), specializing in service dog training. With a passion for service dogs, Jaymie's journey began in 2013 when she started training a Labrador mix as a Diabetic Alert Dog. After high school she dedicated herself as a puppy raiser for an ADI-accredited non-profit organization that raised, trained, and placed service dogs for children and adults with disabilities. Jaymie's education continued at AZ Dog Smart Academy and the Service Dog Summer Seminar at Bergin University, enhancing her expertise in service dog training. In 2023 she earned her bachelor’s of science in Cynology from Bergin University, where she now works as a professor. She is a firm believer in motivation, problem-solving, and mutual understanding as the foundation of her training philosophy and constantly seeks the most up-to-date, science-based training methods. Her personal companion is Quill, a Flat-Coated Retriever, with whom she enjoys hiking, trick training, dock-diving, and Canine freestyle.

Through this work, Jessa developed her specialization for training and placing mobility assistance dogs and diabetic alert dogs. Jessa obtained her professional dog training certification in 2017 as a CPDT-KA, and has enjoyed continuing to learn and expand her knowledge while also serving as a mentor for other dog trainers in the service dog field.
